About The Event

NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory invites Television Academy National Active members of the Interactive Media, Production Executives, and Special Visual Effects Peer Groups and a guest to a special tour of our beautiful campus, where we build and operate missions to study Earth, the solar system and the cosmos. A panel discussion on how NASA-JPL connects with film and television organizations will be followed by a Q&A session, plus time to interact with your peers... and NASA!

WELCOME TO OUR UNIVERSE

2:45 p.m. | Check In
Time your trip to get through security and make certain to have your confirmation email and drivers license or passport. After parking you'll go to the Visitor Center to get your badge.

3 p.m. | Behind-the-scenes NASA Tour
Stops include a visit to mission control for robotic explorers across the solar system, including the Curiosity rover on Mars and Voyager in interstellar space, and the Spacecraft Assembly Facility, where NASA's next Mars rover mission is under construction.

5 p.m. | Panel Discussion* & Networking
Join a special panel discussion on how NASA works as a media outlet, production company and advisor in media. Special panelists will include NASA's Film and TV Liaison, digital producers, scientists and engineers. See special projects NASA is creating to share its missions with the world, and free resources available to media, television and film producers. Snacks and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided at this time.

Only Television Academy National Active Members with valid membership cards and their registered guests ages 18+ will be admitted.

You will receive an email prompting you to submit your legal name and citizenship to secure access to the event. NASA-JPL is a secure federal facility. Names, citizenship and other basic information will need to be submitted for each guest in advance. All guests need to bring valid government-issued photo identification for admittance. Event space is limited so early RSVPs are encouraged.
