What is a Peer Group Governor?

How Do You Become One?

Are you interested in becoming a Peer Group Governor on the Television Academy Board?

Peer Group Governors are an integral part of the leadership of the Television Academy. They are your Peer Group's representatives on the Academy's Board of Governors. The Board meets regularly to oversee the business of the Academy, including setting the Academy's strategic direction and annual budget, reviewing the Academy's ongoing membership activities and initiatives, and deliberating and approving changes to the rules and procedures around the Emmy Awards.

Any National Active Member who meets the qualifications may petition to run for Peer Group Governor.

To receive a Peer Group Governor Petition and Credentials Review Form, contact Victoria Smart, Director of Membership at smart@televisionacademy.com or 818.754.2884.

Both the Petition and Review Form must be filed at the Television Academy office no later than noon on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.
