Albert Finney was a British actor.

A recipient of BAFTA, Golden Globe, and Screen Actors Guild Awards, Finney was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor four times, for Tom Jones (1963), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Dresser (1983), and Under the Volcano (1984); he was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Erin Brockovich (2000).

His performance as Winston Churchill in the HBO biographical film The Gathering Storm (2002) garnered him a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie.

Finney also received an Emmy nomination in the category of Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Special for his role as Jason Cromwell in The Image (1990).

His final film appearance was in the 2012 James Bond film, Skyfall.

Finney died February 7, 2019, in London, England. He was 82.
