A well-known Australian film star for decades, Ben Mendelsohn became familiar to American audiences only recently, with roles in films such as The Dark Knight Rises and Vertical Limit.
Born in Melbourne, Australia, Mendelsohn got his start in Australian television in shows such as The Henderson Kids and the long running soap opera Neighbours. Mendelsohn broke out with his performance as an ill-fated juvenile delinquent in the acclaimed coming of age film The Year My Voice Broke. Mendelsohn won the best supporting actor award from the Australian Film Institute, his first of eight nominations.
Mendelsohn is currently starring in the Netflix drama Bloodlines.
