Bob Ellison was a two time Emmy-winning screenwriter who worked on numerous episodes of television series. He served as the creative consultant for shows including Becker, Caroline in the City, It's All Relative, Wings and The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Ellison wrote episodes of Dear John, Amen, The Julie Andrews Hour, Number 96, Rhoda and The Mary Tyler Moore Show. He was the executive script consultant on series including Cheers, Amen, Encore! Encore! and Best of the West. Some of the many TV specials Ellison co-wrote include Singer Presents Burt Bacharach, Bacharach 74, Julie on Sesame Street and Julie and Carol at Lincoln Center.
