Bud S. Smith got his start in the entertainment industry as an editor for television shows and specials. He served as an editor for series including Time-Life Specials: The March of Time, Hollywood and the Stars, National Geographic Specials and Dundee and Culhune. Smith shifted to focus on editing films where he worked on movies including "Flashdance," "The Exorcist," "Sorcerer," "Personal Best," "Darkman," "To Live and Die in L.A." and "The Karate Kid."
