Charles Dolan was an American businessman who founded Cablevision and HBO. He brought cable services to the New York Suburbs and later expanded service into Boston, Cleveland and Chicago through his company, Cablevision Systems Corporation. He made deals with the New York Knicks and the New York Rangers to air sports games on cable and expand to wider audiences. Dolan and his family are in charge of AMC Networks, MSG Networks, BBC America, Radio City Music Hall, the Sphere, Madison Square Garden, Madison Square Garden Entertainment and Madison Square Garden Sports.
