After training at the San Francisco’s American Arts Conservatory Theater, Glover relocated to Los Angeles where he co-founded the Robey Theater Company with fellow actor Ben Guillory. He went on to hold a variety of film, stage, and television roles.
Glover is known for portraying Los Angeles police officer “Sergeant Roger Murtaugh” in the Lethal Weapon film series. He played Whoopi Goldberg’s husband “Celie” in the film adaptation of The Color Purple and also starred as “Lieutenant James McFee” in Witness.
His recent work includes films such as The Bouquet, From Above, Highland Park, The Shift, Space Warriors, Muhammad Ali’s Greatest Flight, Tula: The Revolt, Extraction, The Ninja Immovable Heart, and Rage. He has appeared on television shows, starring as “Arthur Teller” in Touch, and also appearing on Psych, Leverage, Nite Tales, and American Dad!. He played “Isaac Marshall” on ABC’s Brothers & Sisters, “Joshua Deets” on Lonesome Dove, and starred as “Charlie Pratt Sr.” on ER.
