Imelda Staunton portrays Alma Reville Hitchcock in HBO telepic The Girl, which explores the tumultuous relationship between filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock and TV model-turned-actress Tippi Hedren.

Widely recognized as Professor Dolores Jane Umbridge of the Harry Potter film series, the English actress first emerged on television on such BBC programs as comedy series If You See God, Tell Him and serial drama The Singing Detective. She portrayed town gossip Miss Pole in Cranford, the five-part BBC television adaptation of the Elizabeth Gaskell novel, and returned to the role in series sequel, Return to Cranford.
