Jim Abrahams was an Emmy-nominated writer, who also produced and directed television series and movies. He wrote, produced and directed episodes of Police Squad! and worked on other series including Big John, Little John, Late Night Berlin and Cancer/evolution.
Abrahams wrote movies including "Airplane!," "Top Secrect!," "The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!," "Hot Shots!" and "Scary Movie 4." He served as an executive producer on "Airplane!," "Top Secret!" and "Cry-Baby." Films Abrahams directed include "Ruthless People,""Mafia!" and "Big Business."
