Lorenzo Soria was an Argentinian-born journalist and producer.
After his family moved from Buenos Aires to Milan, Italy, Soria began writing and editing for the Italian publications L'Espresso and La Stampa.
He covered politics, technology, and other societal topics, but discovered a passion for interviewing Hollywood talent and reporting on trends and changes in the film and television industry.
The Fulbright Scholar joined the Hollywood Foreign Press Association in 1989 and would serve as its president for five terms in subsequent years.
In 2018, he shared a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Variety Special for his contribution as an executive producer on the 75th Golden Globe Awards.
Soria died August 7, 2020, in Los Angeles, California. He was 68.
