English actor Martin Freeman plays Dr. John Watson on the television series Sherlock: A Scandal in Belgravia (Masterpiece), which also stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Una Stubbs. Freeman may also be seen in the role of Lester Nygaard on the FX television adaptation of Joel and Ethan Coen's 1996 film Fargo.

Fans know Freeman for his work as Tim Canterbury in the BBC’s Golden Globe Award-winning version of The Office, which also starred Ricky Gervais and Mackenzie Crook.
