Norman Steinberg was an Emmy Award-winning American television director, producer and screenwriter.

He wrote on Mel Brook's 1974 film Blazing Saddles and co-scripted the 1984 film Johnny Dangerously.

Steinberg penned jokes for Flip Wilson, Marlo Thomas and Luciano Pavarotti and worked often with Mel Brooks.
