Richard Rosenzweig was an American businessman and producer.

A longtime friend and trusted adviser to Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, Rosenzweig was a graduate of Northwestern University who was hired as an advertising assistant at Playboy in Chicago before becoming Hefner’s first executing assistant in the late 1950’s.

He would continue to move up the ranks, serving as senior vice president and director of marketing, the was appointed vice president of the Playboy publishing group, and eventually given the responsibility for all West Coast Operations.

Rosenzweig launched new publications and editions of Playboy, produced the Playboy Jazz Festival, and was an executive producer of the television series Party @ the Palms, The Girls Next Door, Holly’s World, Kendra, and The Playboy Club.

Rosenzweig died May 6, 2020, in Beverly Hills, California. He was 84.
