Robert Fletcher was an American costume designer.

Fletcher is best known for his work on the first four Star Trek films: The Motion Picture (1979), The Wrath of Khan (1982), The Search for Spock (1984), and The Voyage Home (1986).

Fletcher designed costumes for major ballet and opera companies and did his first foray into television in 1955 on NBC Television Opera Theater. He would go on to design for the series Stanley, The Hollywood Palace, The Dean Martin Show, as well as a number of TV movies and live specials.

He was also the costume designer on the films Caveman (1981), The Last Starfighter (1984), Fright Night (1985) and he provided art direction for more than a dozen Dean Martin Celebrity Roast television specials.

In 1986, he earned a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Costume Design for a Miniseries or a Special for his work on North and South: Book 2, Love & War.

Fletcher died April 5, 2021, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was 98.
