Rocco "Rocky" Moriana a television sound supervisor and music supervisor who frequently collaborated with producers Aaron Spelling and Danny Thomas. His career spanned more than three decades and included numerous series, miniseries and made-for-TV movies.

Born in Ohio, Moriana was a member of the Ohio State football team when he left school to serve in the Navy during World War II. While serving in the Marshall Islands, he witnessed the first tests of the atomic  bomb. After the war he attended the University of Southern California, where he majored in film.

His series credits included The Guns of Will Sonnett, That Girl, My World and Welcome to It, Barney Miller, The Rookies, S.W.A.T, The Love Boat, Fantasy IslandStarsky and Hutch, Charlie’s Angels, Family, Vega$, Hart to Hart, The Colbys, Hotel, Dynasty and Beverly Hills, 90210.

In addition, he worked on such miniseries and telefilms as 21 Hours at Munich, The Boy in the Plastic BubbleThe Amazing Howard Hughes, Hollywood WivesThe Patricia Neal Story and Vows of Deception.

He received a Golden Reel Award from the Motion Picture Sound Editors for the 1994 telefilm James A. Michener’s Texas.

Moriana died at his home in Calabasas, California, on February 5, 2014. He was 86.
