Rocky Oldham was a British television and music video producer.
Oldham left school at 16 and went to work as a clerk at the Davis and Page advertising agency in London. After six months, he left the agency and spent many years doing several different jobs and travelling throughout the United Kingdom and Europe.
His first job in the music business was as a roadie for the African roots band Osibisa, which took him all over the United States, Australia, and Africa.
After assisting in the delivery and setup of props for a music video being produced by a friend of his for MGMM Productions (one of the top music video production companies in England in the 1980s), Oldham eventually connected with MGMM partner and video director David Mallet.
Oldham and Mallet soon became a highly successful team, filming live concerts for home video release and broadcast, and working with such acts as U2, The Rolling Stones, Cat Stevens, Elton John, Janet Jackson, AC/DC, Cher, Tina Turner and Cirque du Soleil.
Oldham died April 29, 2019, in London, England. He was 69.
