Thomas Barham was a director and creative director whose work included main titles for feature film and television titles, as well as commercials and visual effects.
Over the course of his career, he was a director and creative director for Jim Henson Associates, the Walt Disney Company, Digital Kitchen, R. Greenberg Associates, Yu+Co and Curious Pictures.
Barham was a member of the Art Director’s Club of New York and received numerous professional accolades, including awards from the New York Film Festival, American Institute of Graphic Arts, Broadcast Design Association, National Computer Graphics Association, Monitors and more.
He also won two Emmy Awards — in 1991, for Outstanding Achievement in Graphic Design and Title Sequences, for the ABC production World of Discovery; and in 2010, for Outstanding Main Title Design, for the HBO comedy Bored to Death.
Barham died on February 14, 2016, in Greenwich, Connecticut. He was 61.
