For over 30 years, the Television Academy Foundation has helped launch careers of hundreds of students who dreamed of working in television. We're proud to report that more than 90% of our alumni have stayed in the business and grown their careers, making important contributions to their crafts. This year, three former Foundation interns received Emmy nominations.
Karyn Foster, 1990 sound intern, has already won two Emmys. This year marks her ninth Emmy nomination for Outstanding Sound Editing For A Comedy or Drama Series (Half-Hour), for Vice Principals (HBO)
Richard Preuss, 1996 television directing intern, won his first Emmy last year and was nominated this year for Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media Within An Unscripted Program, for The Oscars: All Access (ABC Digital)
Lindsay Pepper, 2012 movies for television intern, received her second Emmy nomination and first win for Outstanding Sound Editing For A Comedy or Drama Series (One Hour), Stranger Things (Netflix)
We are proud of all Foundation alumni and wish them continued success.
