National Active members can lend their expertise by voting annually in the Primetime Emmy competition in both nominating and final rounds  

Members can also vote for:

*Registration with the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences required to vote.  

Members also receive a significant discount for up to two entries in the Primetime Emmy competition.

We also produce entertaining and informative events which are presented in person and virtually, so members can view, attend, or participate. National Active and Associate members can purchase tickets (as available) to the Emmy telecast.  

Active members receive invitations to over 200 For Your Consideration panels with casts and showrunners of Emmy-eligible shows – in Los Angeles & New York.

Your Member Dashboard is where you can see personalized content, register for upcoming events and networking opportunities, and enjoy professional enrichment activities and special discounts for Academy members.    

Access Emmy-eligible content via our exclusive  Viewing Platform  or the external sites of our partners (HBO, Hulu, Netflix, Disney+ and many more) during FYC and Emmy Season.   

You can "give back" and support the Television Academy Foundation's extraordinary educational programs and events like the  College Television Awards  and the  Student Internship Program, by volunteering to judge the entries, or serving as an intern host.

In addition, your tax-deductible donations help provide deserving students from all backgrounds with access to the tools, experiences and employers who will channel them for success, and can also help update and reshape nationwide curricula via the annual  Media Educators Conference.

Experience our premiere film program which offers over 40 film showings a year for $96 annually. After you have seen a film in our most technologically advanced, state-of-the-art Wolf Theatre at the Academy's campus in North Hollywood, you will never want to go anyplace else! The Wolf Theatre features Dolby's state-of-the-art, award-winning audio and visual, and accessibility solutions.

Individuals should meet the following minimum requirements: 

• are at least eighteen (18) years of age 

• are or have been actively engaged in activities related to the production or distribution of television for national exhibition during the four (4) immediately preceding years and: 

  • qualify for admission to one (1) or more of the  Peer Groups  or 

  • have been nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award within the four (4) years immediately preceding their application for membership  or 

  • have achieved a significant body of work relevant to the peer group that warrants a waiver of the peer group requirements. 

Individuals should meet the following minimum requirements: 

• are currently working in the production or distribution of television

• qualify for admission to one (1) or more of the  Peer Groups 

Individuals who are actively engaged in activities related to the production or distribution of television for local exhibition within the Metropolitan Los Angeles qualify for Los Angeles Area Peer Group.

Annual Subscription $96

All Los Angeles-based members can experience the latest in entertainment at the Television Academy's state-of-the-art Wolf Theatre by adding Screening Room to their membership.  Members and guests can enjoy new film releases and other big-screen offerings in one of the most technologically advanced screening rooms in the country.

Members can bring one guest for free and up to two additional guests for $5 to unlimited showings. It is a  Television Academy  benefit you don't want to miss!
