Cris Abrego and Maury McIntyre Meet with D.C. Lawmakers

The Academy's chair and president-CEO will speak with Senators and members of Congress about artificial intelligence and its impact on the television industry.

Television Academy chair Cris Abrego, along with president and CEO Maury McIntyre, is in Washington, D.C., this week, where they will meet with several lawmakers to discuss retaining jobs and safeguarding creative work in the age of artificial intelligence, key topics of concern to our nearly 30,000 members and the entire television industry.

This outreach is part of the Academy’s increased commitment to advocacy, to ensure that we have a voice in decisions of import to all television professionals.
