Alan Skog is an American director of television entertainment music and drama presentations, many of which are broadcast live. Broadway musicals, ballet, cabaret, concerts, opera, and pops — virtually every performance art form — has seen his hand.
Skog's directing style is informed by his theater training. His capture of the immediacy and electricity of performance is central as well as imbedding the audience in a moment in history.
In addition to his Television Academy honors, Skog's director awards include a Peabody Award, a Chicago International Television Awards Silver Plaque, and a National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Mid-Atlantic Emmy. His nominations as director include the Directors Guild of America Award for Musical/Variety and two NATAS Daytime Emmys.
