Writer, actress, and standup comedian Amy Schumer currently stars in Inside Amy Schumer on Comedy Central. The show, which debuted in 2013 and has spawned many viral videos, is a combination of sketches, stand up, and interviews. Schumer earned the Critic's Choice Award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for the show in 2015.
Schumer first started doing stand up comedy in 2004. In 2007, she appeared on the fifth season of Last Comic Standing and came in fourth. Schumer had her first Comedy Central Presents special in 2010, and appeared on the channel in 2011 and 2012 for roasts of Charlie Sheen and Roseanne Barr, respectively. Also in 2012, her standup comedy special aired on Comedy Central, and she began working on a sketch show for the channel. The following year, Inside Amy Schumer premiered.
Schumer has since returned to Last Comic Standing as a mentor. She's also made appearances on Jerry Seinfeld's show Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, Night of Too Many Stars, and The Bachelor. She hosted her first awards show, the MTV Movie Awards, in 2015.
Schumer has also made guest appearances on comedies including 30 Rock and Curb Your Enthusiasm. In July 2015 came Trainwreck, a film she wrote and co-stars in with Bill Hader.
