Ane Crabtree is a prolific American costume designer, visual artist and documentarian best known for her work on The Handmaid's Tale, The Sopranos, Westworld and Masters of Sex.
In 2018, Crabtree was included in Fast Company's 100 Most Creative People in Business for "designing the apocalypse." Crabtree has been nominated for three Emmy Awards (2017, 2018, 2019) for her work on The Handmaid's Tale and Westworld (2016) and for four Costume Guild Awards for PanAm (2012), Masters of Sex (2015), and Westworld (2016), winning for The Handmaid's Tale (2018).
Crabtree is featured in the Margaret Atwood documentary A Word After a Word Is Power (2019) and designed the film adaptation of Joan Didion's The Last Thing He Wanted. Crabtree also lent her talents to the largest Apple TV project to date, Invasion, created by Simon Kinberg, David Weil, and Audrey Chon.
Crabtree spoke at the United Nations in support of the METoo movement in 2018 and at the commemoration of The International Day to End Violence Against Women/Orange the World.
