Charles Shyer was a writer and producer. He wrote episodes of Barefoot in the Park, The Partridge Family, Getting Together, Happy Days, Private Benjamin and Baby Boom. Shyer also produced series including The Odd Couple and Baby Boom and served as an assistant director on The Mothers-In-Law.

Shyer served as a writer on films including "Let's Switch," "Smokey and the Bandit," "Private Benjamin," "Baby Boom," "Father of the Bride," "The Parent Trap" and "Alfie."
