September 18

San Diego, California

Dan Povenmire has spent 30 years in the animation industry directing, storyboarding, or writing (and often all three) for such projects as The Simpsons, Family Guy, SpongeBob Squarepants, and Looney Tunes.

He is the co-creator and executive producer of the hit show Phineas and Ferb, for which he won an Emmy for writing, and was nominated (but lost) an embarrassing 11 other times in a variety of categories, including songwriting and voiceover.

He is perhaps best known as the voice of the Evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz, but is happily not recognized in the streets for it because he seldom wears lab coats and his head is not triangular in real life.
