Daniel H. Blatt was a producer know for dozens of made-for-television movies, as well as a number of feature films. He began his career as an attorney, served as a vice president for Palomar Pictures from 1970 to 1975, where he oversaw such films as Sleuth, The Heartbreak Kid, The Taking of Pelham 123 and The Stepford Wives.

As a producer, he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for outstanding special drama or comedy with Edgar J. Scherick for producing the NBC movie Raid on Entebbe, about Israeli raid to rescue Jewish hostages held at the Entebbe airport after a hijacking. The film also won a Golden Globe.

Blatt went on to produce dozens of other miniseries and made-for-television movies, including Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery, The Children Nobody Wanted, More Than Murder, V: The Final Battle, Kissinger and Nixon, Never Give Up: The Jimmy V Story, Twist of Faith, and many others.

He also produced the series V and The New Mike Hammer.

His feature films included Cujo, I Never Promised You a Rose Garden, The Howling, and The Boost.
