David Strathairn is "John Dos Passos" in HBO's Hemingway & Gellhorn. He is also known for his role as “Professor Carlock” in Temple Grandin and for supporting roles in top Hollywood and independent films such as “Dr. Melvin Frank” in Twisted, “Tom Hartman” in The River Wild, Kim Basinger’s pimp in L.A. Confidential, and jailbird alongside Tom Cruise in The Firm. Strathairn is recognized for collaborations with director John Sayles, as well as his role opposite Matt Damon in The Bourne Ultimatum and portrayal of “Moss” in The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd.
