Isidore Mankofsky was an American cinematographer.

He is perhaps best known for lensing The Muppet Movie (1979), Somewhere In Time (1980), and The Jazz Singer (1980).

Mankofsky learned his craft while serving in the U.S. Air Force and would begin his career working for Encyclopedia Britannica Films, photographing over 160 half-hour educational movies.

He went on to work for Universal Television, photographing for the series Columbo, Magnum, P.I.,The Wonderful World of Disney, and Nowhere Man.

Mankofsky also shot several miniseries such as Captains and Kings and Billionaire Boys Club, as well as dozens of telefilms including Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy, The Burning Bed, Fatal Judgment, Ewoks: The Battle for Endor, and A Very Brady Christmas.

Mankofsky was a Primetime Emmy nominee for Outstanding Cinematography for a Miniseries or Special for HBO's Afterburn (1992), and NBC's Love, Lies and Murder (1991).

Mankofsky died February 9, 2021, in Los Angeles, California. He was 89.
