James Stacy was an actor best known for his Emmy-nominated role as a wheelchair-bound amputee in the 1977 television movie Just a Little Inconvenience
Stacy was nominated once more in 1986 for his guest performance in the drama series Cagney & Lacey, in which he played an advocate for the disabled.
The actor was handicapped in real life, following a motorcycle accident in 1973.
His other television credits included Cheyenne, Have Gun — Will Travel, The Donna Reed Show, Hazel, The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet, Perry Mason, Lancer, Medical Center, The Streets of San Francisco, Marcus Welby, M.D., Gunsmoke, Highway to Heaven, Wiseguy and The New WKRP in Cincinnati.
He also had roles in the films South Pacific, Flareup, Posse and Something Wicked This Way Comes.
Stacy died September 9, 2016, in Ventura, California. He was 79.
