Jed Allan was an American actor.

Allan attended the University of Washington where he majored in drama. While in college, he supported himself working as a radio and television announcer and sportscaster.

Allan was widely known for starring in several soap operas. In the mid-1960s, he appeared on episodes of Love of Life, and The Secret Storm. He is best known for his long running role as Don Craig on Days of Our Lives, a role he played from 1971 to 1985. From 1986 to 1993, he played C.C. Capwell on Santa Barbara.

Allan's most notable TV role outside of soap operas was that of forest ranger Scott Turner on Lassie from 1968 to 1970. Other television appearances include roles on episodes of The Big Valley, Mannix, Columbo, Mary Tyler Moore, Mod Squad, Adam-12, Love, American Style, Kojak, The Streets of San Francisco, CHiPs, Alice, Simon and Simon, Beverly Hills 90210, Walker, Texas Ranger, and CSI: Miami.

Allan died March 9, 2019, in Palm Desert, California. He was 84.
