Josh Charles is an American actor who portrayed the dear and much-too-suddenly departed Will Gardner on the CBS drama The Good Wife.  He received both an Emmy and Golden Globe nomination for this role.

Prior to The Good Wife, Charles starred as Dan Rydell in Aaron Sorkin’s critically acclaimed ABC comedy Sports Night and Jake on the HBO series In Treatment. He also had some hilarious guest turns in the Comedy Central hit series Inside Amy Schumer.

In addition to his breakthrough role as Knox Overstreet opposite Robin Williams in the 1989 film Dead Poets Society, Charles starred in Threesome, Things to Do in Denver When You’re Dead, and Four Brothers. Charles made his acting debut in John Water’s 1988 film Hairspray.

His theater credits include Long Wharf Theater production of The Glass Menagerie and the world premiere of The Receptionist for the Manhattan Theater Club.
