Joyce Gordon was a Canadian-born actress and voiceover performer.

An alma mater of the University of Illinois and the University of Wisconsin, Gordon appeared in a number of live network promos and commercials.

She also made several appearances on television shows such as Studio One, The Robert Montgomery Presents, The Jack Paar Show, and The Price Is Right.

A pioneer in many ways, Gordon was the first woman to do network promos, the first female announcer for a political convention on network television, and, in 1996, Gordon was the first female elected president of the New York branch of the Screen Actors Guild.

She would remain a strong advocate for union members for over four decades.

Gordon died February 28, 2020. She was 90.
