Three-time Emmy Award-winning Australian actress Judy Davis has found success across film, television, and stage. Her second ever film role, Sybylla Melvyn in 1979's My Brilliant Career, was also her breakout moment. She won the BAFTA awards for Best Actress and Best Newcomer for her performance.

Davis played the young version of Golda Meir in the 1982 TV movie A Woman Called Golda, earning her first Emmy nomination for the role.  In 1985, she received her first Academy Award nomination for A Passage to India, based on the E.M. Forster novel. She would be nominated again in 1993 for her performance in the film Husbands and Wives.

Davis has won and been nominated for several awards for her performances in television movies and miniseries. She won her first Golden Globe for the 1991 TV movie One Against the Wind, and her first Emmy award in 1995 for the TV movie Serving in Silence: The Margarethe Cammermeyer Story. She was also nominated for a Golden Globe for that role.
