Kaz Aizawa is currently at Disney Television Animation, fulfilling roles both as Background Paint Lead and Color Script Artist on the show Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.

Before entering the animation industry in 2002, Kaz worked as a freelance illustrator. Some of his major projects include designing and illustrating for Nintendo game boxes (NES + Gameboy) and posters for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Additionally, he created illustrations for magazines and advertisements, and art directed several albums for an independent jazz label in Los Angeles.

Kaz joined Disney Television Animation Studio in 2013. Prior to that, he worked for several studios including Nickelodeon Animation Studio and Cartoon Network. Shows include: DuckTales, Big Hero 6, Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero, The Fairly Odd Parents, Danny Phantom, Tuff Puppy, and Camp Lazlo. In 2011, he was awarded an Emmy for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation for his background paintings on Nickelodeon's Tuff Puppy.

As a member of the Television Academy, he has been active with the Animation Peer Group Executive Committee and involved in the judging process for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation. Kaz attended the University of Oregon and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honors from the Art Center College of Design.
