Two-time Emmy nominee Kelsey Scott has built a diverse career across nearly 100 television and film appearances. From her role in the Oscar-winning 12 Years a Slave to her multi-season arc on How to Get Away With Murder, her screen work spans productions like Better Call Saul, Insecure, NCIS, True Detective, and Fear the Walking Dead: Passage - along with voice work in commercials, animation, video games, and narrative podcasts.
As an Academy member, Kelsey served four years on the Performers Peer Group Executive Committee and six years on the Academy Foundation’s Educational Programs and Services Committee - contributing to programs like the College Television Awards, the Academy Internship Program and what is now the Media Educators Conference.
Kelsey stepped into performing via the theatre scene in her hometown of Atlanta. She has since originated roles in new plays, taken on classical leads, and showcased her vocalist work in regional and touring musicals.
Behind the camera, she launched her screenwriting career with the Sony Pictures thriller Motives and its sequel. She continues developing original projects while writing commissioned scripts and consulting for studio and private clients.
A firm believer in the power of artistic expression as an avenue to personal growth, Kelsey serves as an Ambassador for Kids in the Spotlight - a non-profit organization that helps foster youth tell their stories through filmmaking.
When Kelsey’s not performing or writing, you'll likely find her wielding words of a different kind, as a Scrabble aficionado.
