Kevin Blank is an Emmy and Visual Effects Society Award winning Visual Effects Supervisor, with 30 years in the business with 27 years of VFX Supervisor credits across broadcast, feature films, and streaming projects.
Credits include series works including Alias, Lost, mini series Childhood's End, feature films "Eurotrip," "Cloverfield," and streaming projects Lovecraft Country, and recently 1923.
Beginning on the syndicated hits Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Xena: Warrior Princess, he got his first chance to supervise VFX in 1998. Working all over Asia, the South Pacific, North America, and Europe while amassing 5 Emmy Nominations and 14 Visual Effects Society nominations, while winning for the pilot of Lost, Kevin has enjoyed providing spectacle and support to many productions.
Kevin is a member of Television Academy, VES, and DGA, has B.A. in Film Studies from UC Berkeley and studied Cinematography at UCLA Extension where he occasionally guest lectures. Currently the VFX Supervisor on 1923 and the Creative Director for Powerhouse Visual Effects at Company 3. Kevin is looking forward to his tenure as Governor of the Special Visual Effects Peer Group.
