Actress and comedian Lauren Weedman's career has spanned film, television, and theater. She appeared on both seasons of the HBO series Looking (2014-2015), as a recurring character in season 1 and a regular in season 2.
In 2001 and 2002, Weedman was a correspondent on The Daily Show. She has made guest appearances on shows including New Girl, Arrested Development, and 2 Broke Girls. Film appearances include Date Night and The Five Year Engagement.
Weedman has also written and performed several one-woman shows, including Homecoming, which eventually reached off-Broadway, and Bust, which was awarded the prestigious Macdowell fellowship for playwriting. Her first book, a collection of comedic essays called "A Women Trapped in a Woman's Body: (Tales from a Life of Cringe)," was published in 2007.
