Lorin Bennett Salob was an American producer, production manager, and director.
Salob started his career in television in 1965, working for Dick Clark on American Bandstand. After working for Clark, and on other musical television shows, he was hired by David L. Wolper to work on Wolper’s documentary productions.
As an assistant director, Salob’s television credits include Medical Center, The F.B.I., The Streets of San Francisco, Barnaby Jones, Charlie’s Angels, and Emergency!
Salob won a Primetime Emmy Award in 1992 for producing the NBC miniseries A Woman Named Jackie (with Roma Downey).
Salob died October 23, 2019, in Staunton, Virginia. He was 77.
