An accomplished writer and actress with over 35 years of experience in film, television, and theater, Lou Gideon starred in multiple seasons of Search for Tomorrow and The Secret World of Alex Mack; along with guest spots on shows such as Six Feet Under, Seinfeld, Malcolm in the Middle, Night Court, 3rd Rock from the Sun, and Beverly Hills 90210.

Born in Erath County, Texas, Gideon graduated from Baylor University and was a jazz singer before devoting herself to acting.

She spent three years on Search for Tomorrow and four seasons on The Secret Life of Alex Mack.

Her other television credits included thirtysomething, Eerie, Indiana, Who's the Boss?, Get a Life, Saved by the Bell, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

In 2006, Gideon moved from Los Angeles to Asheville, North Carolina, where she continued acting and also devoted more time to writing.
