Marge Redmond was an American actress.
Best known for playing Sister Jacqueline in the television series The Flying Nun, Redmond was also known to many as the friendly country innkeeper in a decade’s worth of Cool Whip commercials.
In a six decade-long career, Redmond made guest starring appearances in the television series The Goldbergs, My Three Sons, The Twilight Zone, My Favorite Martian, Perry Mason, The Munsters, My Mother the Car, The Six Million Dollar Man, The Rockford Files, Columbo, Murphy Brown, Law & Order, and she had a recurring role in Matlock.
On the big screen, Redmond notably appeared in Billy Wilder’s The Fortune Cookie (1966), Alfred Hitchcock’s The Family Plot (1976), and Woody Allen’s Manhattan Murder Mystery (1993).
In 1968, she received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Comedy, for her role in The Flying Nun.
Redmond died February 10, 2020. She was 95.
