Martin Starger was an award-winning producer who received a Primetime Emmy and three more nominations. He worked on television series including The Magical World of Disney, The Two of Us, Whodunnit? and Westside Medical. Starger produced television specials including The 42nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards and The Muppets Go Hollywood.

While at ABC, Starger was responsible for such acclaimed television projects as Roots, Rich Man, Poor Man, QBVII, Eleanor and Franklin, "The Missiles of October," "Love Among the Ruins," "Death in Venice" and "Ceremonies in Dark Old Men."  He and his team created The Movie of The Week; hit shows during his tenure included Marcus Welby, M.D. Happy Days, Streets of San Francisco, Barney Miller and Welcome Back, Kotter. He was an executive producer on other films including "Friendly Fire," "Sanctuary of Fear," "Love Letters" and "Harry's Battles." He produced other films such as "The Muppet Movie," "Mask," "Sophie's Choice," "Movie Movie," "Nashville," "The Great Muppet Caper" and "On Golden Pond." He was also a producer of such Broadway productions including Sly Fox, Lend Me a Tenor, Starlight Express, and Merrily We Roll Along.
