Richard Marks was an American film editor.
Some of Marks's credits include Bang the Drum Slowly, Serpico, The Godfather: Part II, St. Elmo's Fire, Pretty in Pink, Say Anything…, Dick Tracy, Father of the Bride, You've Got Mail, and Julie & Julia.
Marks received Academy Award nominations for his work on Francis Ford Coppola's Apocalypse Now, and three films by director James L. Brooks: Terms of Endearment, Broadcast News, and As Good as It Gets.
Marks was nominated in the category of Outstanding Multi-Camera Picture Editing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special for his work on The 74th Annual Academy Awards.
Marks died December 31, 2018, in New York City, New York. He was 75.
