Scott Wilson was an American actor.

He had more than 50 film credits, including In the Heat of the Night (with Sidney Poitier), In Cold Blood (with Robert Blake), The New Centurions (with George C. Scott), The Great Gatsby (with Robert Redford), The Right Stuff (with Scott Glenn), Dead Man Walking (with Sean Penn), G.I. Jane (with Demi Moore), and Pearl Harbor (with Ben Affleck)

In 1980, Wilson received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor – Motion Picture for his role in The Ninth Configuration (with Stacy Keach).

He played veterinarian Hershel Greene on the AMC television series The Walking Dead from 2011 to 2014.

In addition, Wilson had recurring roles on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation as casino mogul Sam Braun, and Bosch as Dr. Guyot.

Wilson died October 6, 2018, in Los Angeles, California. He was 76.
