Sean Presant is an Emmy-nominated and NAACP Image Award-winning writer, producer, director, and showrunner. He started his career writing sketch comedy for The Wayne Brady Show, and since has worked in every genre and format, from multi-cam comedy to hour procedural. Sean's credits include Happily Divorced and Instant Mom for TVLand, Almost Paradise for Amazon, Wipeout for ABC, and Planet Sheen for Nickelodeon. As the showrunner of YouTube Original's Tab Time, now airing on Amazon and Peacock, Sean led the production to three Emmy nominations, one Emmy win, and two NAACP Image Awards.
On the film side, Sean scripted the Dean Devlin sci-fi film The Deal. His film Suburban Monogamy won the Art Institute of Chicago's award for Best Independent Film Comedy, played Cannes, South by Southwest, and Deauville, and sold to Canal Plus.
A firm believer that stories can change the world, Sean runs the Save Santa's Home movement, which introduces kids to the issues of climate change and environmental activism, encouraging them to take part in shaping the world they'll inherit. He also mentors aspiring writers through the Cinestory Foundation and has taught his popular writers' room workshops at The University of Tennessee and the Austin Film Festival Writers Conference.
Sean is a graduate of Harvard University and the USC School of Cinematic Arts.
