Taraji P. Henson can currently be seen as the hugely popular character Cookie Lyon on the hit Fox series Empire, a role which netted her the 2015 Critic's Choice Television Award for Best Actress in a drama series.

Henson previously played “Yvette” in Bad Boy, “Shug” in Hustle and Flow, and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role of “Queenie” in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. She portrayed “Tiffany Rubin” in the true life inspired Lifetime movie Taken From Me: The Tiffany Rubin Story. Henson also played the role of alcoholic singer “April” in Tyler Perry’s I Can Do Bad All By Myself and has made regular appearances on Eli Stone, The Cleveland Show, Boston Legal and CSI.
