Tom Johnson was a screenwriter and producer who worked on television series, specials and films. He was best known for being a writer on over 1,000 episodes of The Daily Show for 7 years. Johnson served as head writer for series including Stand-Up Nation with Greg Giraldo, Comedy Knockout, The Jeselnik Offensive, Lopez Tonight, Late Night Liars, Talk Show with Spike Feresten and Reality Bites Back. He was in charge of the writing for television specials including WTF with Marc Maron, Joan Rivers' Straight Talk, Scream Awards 2011, Guys Choice Awards 2012, Guys Choice Awards 2014 and Guys Choice Awards 2015. In addition to his television shows and specials, he worked on television movies including "Balls of Steel," "Adult Content with Greg Giraldo," "Race Riot" and "Gamekillers."

Johnson also served as a producer on many of the television series and specials he wrote. Other shows he produced include Martha & Snoop's Potluck Party Challenge, Caraoke Showdown, Punk'd and Best Week Ever with Paul F. Tompkins.
