Me and My Emmy: Tim Conway

Tim Conway keeps the comedy flowing, no matter where he is.

Primetime Emmy Tally: Six

How He Got the Gold: Three as supporting actor and one as a writer on The Carol Burnett Show; two as a guest actor, on Coach and 30 Rock.

Now for the Noms: Six additional nominations for The Carol Burnett Show — three for writing, three for supporting actor; one more supporting-actor nom for McHale's Navy.

Cherished Character: "Mr. Tudball [on The Carol Burnett Show]. Carol was the boss on the show, but here she played my secretary — and not a great one at that. I got to be top dog and she was lowly puppy. It was wonderful."

Comedy Conundrum: "It's not as much fun nowadays, because people are more concerned with how much something makes. In the old days, we entertained just to entertain."

Ah, the Memories: "Harvey Korman and I were both nominated in the same category one year. We agreed we'd vote for each other and if one of us won, we'd both go on stage together. I ended up having to work in Las Vegas and wasn't able to attend. So I wrote a note and asked him to not open it unless I won.

I did win and Harvey accepted on my behalf. He opened the note and it said, 'Remember when we said we'd vote for each other? Well… I lied.' It was great. I was able to break him up from 400 miles away!"

Handle with Care: "I keep my Emmys on a shelf in the living room. I'm very proud of them. I don't necessarily kiss them good evening, but I cherish them. And I keep them well polished."
