James ("Jimmy") Moriana was a Foley artist who won a Primetime Emmy in 2012 for his work on the HBO series Game of Thrones. His career spanned three decades and included Foley work in movies, television and video games.

Jimmy was born and raised in Southern California and got his start in the entertainment business working for his father Rocco Moriana, a television sound supervisor and music supervisor who frequently collaborated with producers Aaron Spelling and Danny Thomas.

He began his career with the 1986 movie Legal Eagles and over the next 25 years he worked on more than 300 feature films, television series, miniseries and video games.

A partial list of his film credits includes Harry and the Hendersons, L.A. Story, Night and the City, When a Man Loves a Woman, Dangerous Minds, Happy Gilmore, The Wedding Singer, A Simple Plan, American Beauty, Gladiator, Almost Famous, Shrek, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Kill Bill: Vol. 2, Ray, Spider-Man 3, Fast & Furious, Inglourious Basterds and The Descendants.

His television credits include John Adams, The Pacific, Community, Body of Proof, Nikita, Magic City and Black Sails.

In addition to his 2012 Emmy win, he received Emmy nominations in 1998 for The Visitor and in 2013 for Game of Thrones. He was also nominated for 23 Golden Reel Awards by the Motion Picture Sound Editors and won the honor six times.

Moriana died October 23, 2013, in Stevenson Ranch, California. He was 51.
