Why did you want to be a Television Academy governor? With over 45 years of camera experience, I thought it was time to give back using some of the knowledge I've accumulated over the course of my career as well as hopefully encouraging others to join our Peer Group.
What do you hope to accomplish as a governor? Our industry and specific crafts are continually changing and growing. We must strive to be inclusive as to membership and embrace new technology while remaining true to our core values as how they relate to our Peer Group and award nominations. I hope I can be instrumental in helping navigate these areas.
Why is the Academy important to the industry? Any organization that fosters mentoring new talent while preserving the legacy of the players and productions of the past is vital to our industry. That's how we keep moving forward as an industry and how we can have a powerful "say" as a unified group.
